How do I change the background color for Scenario Description?

Post by DWReese »

How do I change the background color for the Scenario Description?

I created a scenario a long time ago, and I got real cute and I changed the background color and the text color. It looks horrible, and I always told myself that I would correct it one day. Well, that day came, but now I have forgotten how to do it.

Going to the EDIT section shows the background as being white, and with black text. That's perfect. But, when I first open the scenario, the background is dark gray and that make it very hard to see the text. I'd like to go back to black text on white background, just like it appears in the EDIT Scenario Description.

Any help would be appreciated.

In general, people have been using HTML files and then calling it the description and side-order text editors. Html allows text edits and document edits like size, shape color. You can even create your own stylesheet to call upon if you want numerous HTML files to look the same way. If you look and see how things are done with the canned scenarios, you can see how it is done.

These are separate files, so you need to make sure to package them with any scenario you're shipping.

There is a briefing_template and a description_template.html in the scenario/lua folder.

They have white background and black text.

I am not familiar with .html and not sure the changes will be fully compatible with CMO, but you can load it in Word or similar software, edit, and save as .html

Hi Doug.

Take a look at some of the scenarios I sent you or posted over the past couple of years. The process is a bit tedious re: the HTML. But I can help guide you via a PM or two. They are not as professional looking as the DLCs. But are pretty good and set the scene for the player.
